“How Desperate Are You Too Get God’s Immediate Attention”

Immediately Jesus became aware that power had gone out of him. So, he turned around in the crowd and asked, "Who touched my clothes?" Mark 5:30

In the Bible there is a story of a woman who dealt with an issue of blood for 12 long years, isolated and ostracized from her family and friends until one day she decided to put feet to her faith and got up and went out.

Is your faith strong enough to get God's immediate attention?

She had heard about Jesus, being in her town and walking down her street. She came from behind in the crowd and touched his clothes.  She said with faith and belief, "If I can just touch his clothes, I'll get well." Mark 5:27-28

Faith requires action.  In order for this woman to get her healing, she had to do something.  She had to first get up and then go out. I imagine she was sitting there in her house where she was confined to and had heard everyone talking about this man who performed miracles, healings, and raising people from the dead. I am sure she began to get excited in her spirit. She thought to herself, if I could just touch the hem of his garment then I can be totally healed.  It became a matter of life or death for her.  She was already living a life of death not being able to be among people, talked about, and ridiculed. What did she have to lose? She was worn and weary, she had exhausted all her options, man had failed her, unable to diagnosis her condition, friends and family rejected her leaving isolated and all alone.  She knew how much she could gain if she would press her way one more time.  She put feet to her faith.  She got up and went out amongst the crowd.  Her issues were not going to stop her from reaching the Master.  He was in her town, walking down her streets, in her presence and she was going to reach out and touch Him.  She did not need Jesus to lay His hands on her, speak to her, see her, or even touch her, she knew without a doubt that if she could only touch His clothes she would be healed.  Because of her unwavering faith not only was she healed but she received power and God’s immediate attention. She did not let the crowd, the guards, or her issue stop her from pressing and reaching Jesus.

Some of us have been dealing with issues for years, keeping us confined to old ways, and habits not allowing us to reach beyond it and be healed.  Twelve long years she bled. How many years have you held on to something and God came into your town and in your presence giving you an opportunity to release it and be free, and you stayed in the house.  Today, right now He is in your town, His very presence is here today, just get up, press through and reach out to Him.  Get God’s immediate attention. There is power and healing just for you.

He said to her, "Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.”

Jeremiah 29:11

“For I know the plans I have for you” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
